Ear Candy - 15.7.10

Been doing a lot of writing of late. The plot is slowly taking shape in my head just need to figure out how to get it out of my head and make sense of it on the page..or laptop screen. Whatevs.

It's so unfulfilling to write for two hours to see a plot develop, only to come back the next day and erase half of it.

The romantic in me wants to set it in the 1800's so my lead male can say hopelessly lovely things and not make me think 'that's so unrealistic, no-one would say that.' Anyway it's coming together. slowly but surely. I may post some on here soon to see what you lot make of it. Be brutally honest, I can take it...I think!

My itunes is a constant companion when I'm writing. I realised that Stereophonics do inspire me. I knew there was a reason they were my favourite. Aside from the ridey Kelly Jones of course.

So todays Ear Candy is dedicated to them.

Hopefully I'll convert some of you over to my side. Take a listen.

RIP Stuart Cable.

He was only 40, definitely taken from us too young.

One third of the Stereophonics and a member for the creation of the beautiful Performance and Cocktails, my favourite album of all time.

He was an amazingly talented drummer and a wonderful spirit.

He will be deary missed.

The filth took away my licence

No posts this week lovelies. Heading to LDN with the boy to see Stereophonics, shop and sightsee. Can't wait! Stereophonics are my all time favourite band. It's gotten to the stage where even if I don't particularly like a song, I'll download it anyway. I'm loyal like that. I've never ever seen them live, they rarely play in Ireland, and if they do someone is hiding it from me! I remember being devastated that I wasn't allowed go to Slane to see them when I was around 15. And nearly in tears when their gig for 200 in the Academy sold out from under me. This is it, nothing will stop me from seeing them this week, you hear that RyanAir? Nothing!

Having a bit of trouble packing I want to bring too much. Ideally I would swan round London looking like some of these ladies

but, seeing as this is what I hope to bring so far. I don't know if that 'London look' is likely!
