Ear Candy - 22.7.10

Lyrics.
They make the songs.
You may have noticed that the titles of my posts are all song lyrics. Usually taken from the song I'm listening to before I hit publish, or sometimes just a lyric that has been in my head.
I love love songs. Not Whitney Houston The Greatest Love type of tunes but, ones which feel real. Ones which don't proclaim themselves as love songs, or allude to tales of great love, but ones in which love is present. Ones which share the little meaningful moments, thoughts and emotions. Ones which sing of love as it does feel, not overly romanticised, just real.
Well, kind of romanticised. But still. Real.
Todays Ear Candy reflects that. Next week will be less ghey.

'Meet me in the hallway bite your lip when I say never have you left my mind'
'Nothing busy, nothing easy but something you'
'Hands down I'm too proud, for love. But with eyes shut it's you I'm thinking of'
'Give me two hands I can hold, I'll tell you things I've never told'
'And I said I know it well, that secret that we know that we don't know how to tell. I'm in love with your honour, I'm in love with your cheeks'
'the moment we forgot we were just good friends I moved my arm her face went red again'
'There is a love that flows between us, ever-changing everyday'
'Your love will be safe with me'
Finally, Kate Nash writes ordinary love like no-one else. I tried to pick out one line. I failed.
'I wish I was your favourite girl, I wish you thought I was the reason you are in the world.
I wish I was your favourite smile, I wish the way that I dressed was your favourite kind of style.
I wish you couldn't figure me out, but you always wanna know what I was about.
I wish you'd hold my hand when I was upset, I wish you'd never forget the look on my face when we first met.
I wish you had a favourite beauty spot that you loved secretly, 'cos it was on a hidden bit that nobody else could see.
Basically, I wish that you loved me'

Yeah, sorry about this I've been writing far too much. :)
