Lady Gaga won fashion icon of the year. Although deserved, in many ways it's still surprising.

I was delighted to see Prabal Gurung win the Swarkovski award for womenswear. Besting my loves the Olsens, Gurung is thoroughly deserving of the recognition.

And hottie mchot hot Marc Jacobs picked up a Lifetime Achievement award. Smiley face.

Oh btw, thats my new annoying habit. Saying sad face/smiley face/ sceptical face. It started off purely to irritate and has somehow become part of my everyday speech. I'm trying to phase it out I promise. Winky face.

This weeks Frock Candy is rescheduled yet again. I may need to change the day. Friday just isn't working out. The reason is good though. A bumper New York fashion week extravaganza! (I said that with an evil/flashy jazz hand pose, fo' reals)

I heart NY.

I was going to replace Frock Candy altogether. Then I remembered all the amazing looks of this week so I've decided Saturday we'll have a little 'NY Fashion Week what they wore'. Excited? I think so.

For now, here are some of the best non-fashion week looks. Which mainly consist of Fashion's Night Out. Does that count as Fashion Week? I don't think so..anyway, here we go!

Dear god, I haven't put a photo here but, take a gander at style.com. It would appear that, although people continue to wear it despite it being completely out of style and as unflattering as a hoodie, the denim skirt if back on Lagerfelds' inspiration board.

A lorra lorra black with the odd pop of yellow. Completely DVF though, and I AM getting a 50's style swimming suit.

Very 60's, very feminine and very cute. Victoria Beckhams leather airport hat has somehow found its way onto the runway and some of the gowns were a little too tacky debs dress for my liking.
