You make me spit, I don’t like my clothes anymore.

To open I'd just like to make the point that while I wouldn't wear fur myself... Perhaps if it was vintage, even then most likely no..., I do find it aesthetically pleasing. The way these designers have utilized it makes me want to wear fur. Seriously, they're that good. I'll be sticking to the faux stuff though. And that debate is for another day.
Enjoy.

Pre Fall Collections 2011

Elie Tahari

I'm a little obsessed with that black leather dress. I seriously cannot stop looking at it. I love how rigid it is at the top and then it softly turns almost seamlessly into lace, it's beautiful. Excellent collection. The fabric, colours and styling are captivating.

J Mendel

Fast becoming one of my favourite designers. There was not one look I didn't love. I really just want to touch it. The textures look amazing. The structured dresses were unexpected but accented the luxurious furs and details beautifully. And those shoes! Ah, die for them.

Hervé Léger

I am so incredibly over this look. Seriously change it up. Snoozefest.

Rag and Bone

Looking through this collection I realised why I love Rag and Bone so much. It reminds me of when I was younger and an absolute tomboy and didn't want to wear dresses or be girly. This would have been a happy compromise for me and the muv. And seeing as I'm still a bit like that, the Rag and Bone look is perfect for me. This collection is just so cool. Completely wearable and different to the rest. I want it all.

Jason Wu

Wu has got it going on. I love the strictness of it. I adore the models. I adore the mid 20th century feel to the whole thing. I absolutely adore the monochrome look. Again, the shoes here are gorgeous. The styling is fantastic too. The final dress is an absolute triumph.

Chanel

The piece de resistance.
I want to live in Karl Lagerfelds world. Just thinking about the detail, time cost and effort that went into the embellishments makes me tingle. 67 looks and every one of them is impressive. Especially the gold jacket, green trouser look in the middle of the third photo. I would wear that forever. It strikes the perfect balance between wearable and aspirational. Completely, breathtakingly stunning but not in an inaccessible way. That is the genius of Karl and the beauty of Chanel.

Sometimes we've no choice but to walk away

New York Spring 2011 Fashion Week

Proenza Schouler

Far more ladylike than I anticipated. It did get a little more edgy and more Proenza-like as I flicked through. The first few looks had an air of old school Chanel about them. Over all I liked it. Especially that second look. Perfect.

J. Mendel

I now want to wear orange shoes with everything. Gorgeous and elegantly edgy. Love it all.

Reem Acra

Next time I get asked to a ball, I'm wearing Reem Acra. (It will happen, my Eric from the Little Mermaid is coming knocking any day now) It's so wonderfully girlie, which I'm not but, for one night I would embrace my inner girl and be a princess in Reem Acra. Ah, if only.

Jason Wu

He had me with the oversized bows but, throw in a blue turban and I'm yours Wu. Also, this collection launched his range of shoes, bags and glasses. More stuff to crave, great!

Christian Cota

When I think Summer., I think of this look. This is how I would dress, if I were born in an ideal, sunny, summer climate. Simple, feminine and pretty. Cota has promise in buckets.

Tibi

It was nice. Nice is probably the worst word in the English language, along with good. Anyway, that's what it was. Simple, pretty, nice.

A Détacher

This collection toys between wildly creative and pure and simple ready to wear. Either way the craftsmanship and vision is beautiful. It is both aspirational and accessible in equal measures, which, in my opinion, is just as a RTW collection should be.

Jeremy Laing

I was quite surprised that I liked this as much as I did. The detail, which was shrouded in clean lines and simplicity, was captivating. I only imagine it to be more wonderful in person.

Rebecca Taylor

The prints are gorgeous. It all screams Rebecca Taylor but in a new way. It's not quite as girlie but more adaptable than her previous collections have been. I adore that orange dress. Beautiful.

Tracy Reese

Overall, I didn't love, or well like, this collection. These three looks are divine though.

Bensoni

I adored this collection. Aside from the fashion aspect in that, the textures, prints and aesthetic were all amazing. It was just so fun! Love.

Mulberry

Another fun collection. This is far more polished than Bensoni though and much more 'cute'. Mulberry is so much more than bags. Although, I'd still choose a Bayswater over a jacket!

Rodarte

I've always been kind of on the fence about Rodarte. They've just won me over.

Marchesa Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear
From now on, every time I dream of clothes, I will dream of Marchesa.

Just tell me what you want for me to say

Resort 2011

Burberry Prorsum

Trench coats and gathered skirts gallore. Not much has changed in Burberry land. Bit of leopard print though, which is always nice.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

Very plain, very wearable. Kinda meh, so few photos.

Chanel

Dear god, I haven't put a photo here but, take a gander at style.com. It would appear that, although people continue to wear it despite it being completely out of style and as unflattering as a hoodie, the denim skirt if back on Lagerfelds' inspiration board.
That's right it's back..., even though it never really left in the first place.

DVF

Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2011Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2011Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2011Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2011

A lorra lorra black with the odd pop of yellow. Completely DVF though, and I AM getting a 50's style swimming suit.

Jackie O meets Blair Waldorf meets the 70's. Quite daring but still true to the YSL aesthetic.

This 25 piece collection was almost harder to narrow down than Chanels 87 pieces. Simple and completely beautiful but, equally uninspiring in that I feel like I've seen a lot of it before.

Oscar de la Renta

A boater hat and a ball gown will see you through next summer!

Christian Dior

Very 60's, very feminine and very cute. Victoria Beckhams leather airport hat has somehow found its way onto the runway and some of the gowns were a little too tacky debs dress for my liking.

Rag and Bone

Much more summer in the city than summer in St Tropez. Love it.

Also Happy 100th post to me. I'm gonna sit by the laptop and eat some cake. It's gonna be magical.
